Vacation flat rentals are becoming more popular since they're often cheaper than an equivalent hotel rental.

See what www.homemakers.com has to say about renting a vacation apartment with Ah Paris.

Paris is the number one vacation spot in the world. There are so many wonderful things to do on your vacation in Paris. You can visit the many museums such as the Louvre museum with its wonderful collection of ancient statues and renaissance paintings, the Orsay museum which holds the largest collection of Impressionistic Art in the world and the Pompidou Centre known for its collection of modern art. The Picasso Museum in the Marais, the Rodin Museum, and the numerous other museums are all fascinating destinations.

The Notre Dame Cathedral is the epitome of Gothic Architecture and the Sacre Coeur Basilica on the summit of Montmartre is an amazing site and has a great view of the city. If you've read the DaVinci Code, you'll definitely want to see the Saint Sulpice Church.

Then there are the great neighbourhoods like the Latin Quarter with its narrow, twisted roads filled with restaurants and bars and above all, students. The boulevard Saint Germain runs parallel to the Seine River along the left bank and is peppered with store fronts. The Marais is known for its chic cafés, boutiques and gay life. The Champs Elysées, is 'the most beautiful avenue in the world'. The Bastille, teaming with activity is a great place for outdoor cafés.

Of course, you'll want to visit the monuments in Paris, the most famous of which is the Eiffel Tower, but it's worth your time to also visit the Arc de Triomphe, Les Invalides, the Opera Garnier (as opposed to the Opera de la Bastille) and even La Défense just outside of the city.

Renting an apartment in Paris is not only more economical but also makes you feel like you're part of the lifestyle. You can shop at the outdoor markets, cook your own meals, meet the neighbours, and feel what it's like to really live in the world's most romantic city.
