BIG DISAPPOINTMENT: Despite prior email confirmation that a baby cot (specifically 'baby cot') will be available for our stay, none was provided. On enquiring while checking in, we were told that our requirement was mistaken to be for a child's bed (not a 'baby cot') and a bunker bed was pointed at. No effort was made to address the mistake. Naturally, we couldn't have had our 20 month old sleep in the bunker bed. We then had to squeeze in for three nights - most uncomfortably. PROS: 1. Location: The apartment is well located and conveniently accessible by public transport. There several restaurants, grocery stores and shops in the proximity. 2. A dishwasher, a washing machine and a refrigerator are available in the apartment and work well. CONS: 1. Multiple latches, door knobs etc that do not work. This may not seem like a problem - but it is not pleasant to walk in on someone using the WC (toilet). A personal view (so separating it from the 'CONS') - there seems to be stuff in the house which has no apparent use for tenants. Gives the feeling that the apartment doubles up as storage space. Will prefer to stay elsewhere the next time around.

This was overall a wonderful stay. Olivier met us, walked us through the apartment, and made some great recommendations for local restaurant/bakery/grocery shopping options. The location was great -- a couple minutes' walk to a lovely shopping/restaurant district, good grocery store, and the Jardin des Plantes. The apartment itself was clean and functional. Our 5-year-old daughter loved the bunk bed, and the fold-out sofa mattress was surprisingly nice and firm. The other thing I loved about the apartment was the cool rain shower head. The only downside was outside noise at night from people who were presumably coming home from the bars/restaurants. This was not an issue at all for my husband (heavy sleeper), but it was for me (light sleeper).

Nice and comfortable apartment which is close to metro and safe at night.THe appartment was well situated. I would suggest getting the bathroom door fixed, as it was not easy to open/close. The apartment was not clean and the few towels supplied were threadbare and worn out. The other problem is in the lack of kitchen utensils. On one hand there is an enormous amount of plates and on the other there is not enough of teaspoons (only three if I recall correctly), glasses, no cutting board etc.

For the price, the apartment was good for the five of us (parents on pull out coach & 3 children (24,17&15)in a separate bedroom. The apartment was clean and well furnished (& provided enough dishes ect). The location felt safe and was convenient to food markets and restaurants. There is internet and a washing machine. A fan or two would have been nice - they would also help cancel noise. However, cosmetically the apartment does need some work. There is peeling paint on both bathroom ceilings. The only major eyesore is the shower bathroom - it needs a water damaged wall/door replaced. Maybe a vent and a lip on the shower might help keep water contained better? Also, the door knob/plate to the bedroom needs refastening. The pillows for the pull-out were a little lumpy and could be replaced.

The apartment is well situated. There is a very nice area behind for shops and cafes. The apartment had enough space for a family of five. The kitchen was a little lacking in utensils and some dishes when you are self catering. We tried to clean up a bit, but the vacuum cleaner was very poor.

The apartment location is wonderful and it was very comfortable for our family (2 adults, a 7-year old -- who loved the bunk bed!--and a 4-year-old). Nice restaurants in area, and also nice take-out places. It was advertised as non-smoking, and I am happy to report that it was, indeed free of smoke! A tiny bit could be smelled through the bathroom vent one evening, presumably from other apartments in the building, but this apartment itself was very clear. This was our biggest factor in choosing this particular apartment, and it was as advertised. I do wish there had been at least a drying rack. Very frustrating to have the washer but no way to dry.

The apartment is in a great location and quite comfortable. The top bunk, however, should be advertised as suitable only for children. More lighting is needed in the living room near the table/chairs and there were no washcloths. Garden view? Should not be advertised as it is not there. Despite these shortcomings, we were very happy there and had no real problems. I would stay there again.
