The Nation neighbourhood is a mix of Haussman style building and modern structures. There's an open air market every day around the corner near the cours de Vincenne. A supermarket downstairs makes shopping very convenient.

The Nation metro station is great for getting around Paris. The RER will get you to Les Halles in only two stops. If you want to take the kids to Disneyland Paris, it's just a few stops to the east. Line number one will bring you directly to the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, Champs Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe. You can even take line number nine directly to the Eiffel Tower.
