The apartment is very quiet as it overlooks a courtyard. Since it's facing east-west it is often sunny. It is well furnished with parquet floors, oriental carpets and paintings. The kitchen and bathroom were furbished entirely in September 2013 and have all the appliances you'll need for your culinary needs. The Grand Boulevards neighborhood is central. It's a favorite hangout for students from the nearby conservatory, executives from the banking sector. There's an interesting auction house on the rue Druout and, going a little further, a remarkable market with food and items from countries all over the world. It's located near several supermarkets which deliver. You're a few minutes walk from the Grevin museum, the Folies Bergère, the Drouot auction house and the famous rue Richer with its numerous restaurants of all styles (I recommentd Bouillon Chartier). It is a 15 minute walk to the Opera, the Montorgueil area and large department stores on the boulevard Haussmann. The closest metro stop is "Grands Boulevards" which will take you directly to the large department stores, the Champs Elysées and the Eiffel Tower. From the Opera metro station, you can take the trains to the suburbs such as Versailles and Disneyland Paris. The 96 bus will take you to the Marais. Click on image to view at full size |
