The century old building, featuring metallic frames from the Eiffel Tower scraps, is located in the "Sentier" area, in a quiet street just off bustling Montorgueil neighborhood.
Parents with babies will find all they need: baby cot with sheets and a light sleeveless bunting bag, baby high chair, bath thermometer, small bathtub in the bathroom, hooded towel, changing station.
English books are available for your stay, or to swap with your own used ones.
FOOD: The Rue Montorgueil is just 2 min walk. It offers a choice of restaurants for everyone, from poshest to cheapest, both French and international cuisine. This is also where you'll find all the cheese, wine, fish, fruits & vegetables, boulangeries, ice cream and chocolate shops. Every Thursday and Sunday you can buy fresh food from farmer's market on the Rue Montmartre. Organic food shops just 1 minute walk from the flat, as well as larger conventional supermarkets.
CULTURE: The Louvre and Centre Pompidou (modern art) museums are just 15 min walk. The local metro station takes you directly to the Opera Garnier, Notre Dame Cathedral, Montmartre Sacre Coeur and the Eiffel tower. Two brand new "café-théatre" with creative French plays at both ends of the street. The shopping mall in Les Halles has large cinemas. Independent cinema in front of centre Pompidou.
SHOPPING: The Grands Boulevards shopping Mecca is a direct metro ride with the Galeries Lafayette and Le Printemps. For latest Bobo (bourgeois boheme) trends, head to Rue Montmartre just down the street.
GREEN: Very secret and elegant Jardins du Palais Royal are 10 min walk and make for a refined picnic spot, across from the Louvre. The Jardin du Luxembourg is only 2 stops by RER from Les Halles. The even larger Parc Montsouris is 3 stops further.
