    The Louvre
    This former palace to the kings of France was established as a museum over 200 years ago, thus making it one of the world's oldest museums. With 7 departments dedicated to art and artifacts from ancient civilizations to the Baroque epic, the Louvre is also one of the largest museums in the world. It would take days to see it all.

    Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. except Tuesdays and holidays.
    The Orsay Museum
    This former railroad station is a recently new addition to the list of Parisian museums. It was not converted into a museum until 1986. It is now home to the largest collection of Impressionist paintings in the world.

    The museum is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm Thursdays from 10am to 9.45pm Sundays from 9am to 6pm
    La Villette: Cité des Sciences
    This immense science and technology museum occupies the largest of the old Villette slaughterouses. It stimulates the visitors interest in technology by allowing them to interact with the many displays in the main building. It offers a planetarium, greenhouses, a conference center and an IMAX cinema.

    Open Tuesday - Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Closed on Mondays

    The Georges Pompidou Centre
    The Pompidou Centre is the museum of modern art. It was constructed in the 70s with a revolutionary design that show off the mechanisms of support that are usually hidden from the public view.

    It hosts several galleries and that change frequently, so it's worth it to come back again and again. One of the best views of Paris can be experienced at "George", the chic restaurant on the top floor of the centre. Be sure to make reservations.

    Picasso Museum
    The Hôtel Salé is one of the most prestigious buildings in the Marais housing an incredible collection of Picasso's works.
    The museum presents the multiple facets of the artist, his influence on the 20th century, his close relationships with the numerous creative artists of his time and his links to the theater, the ballet, music, literature, cinema and photography.

    Rodin Museum
    The Government acquired the Hôtel Biron in 1905 and Rodin rented the ground floor from 1908 onwards. From that moment, the sculptor, backed by his closest friends, was determined to turn the Hôtel Biron into a museum devoted to his works. It houses marble, bronze, plaster, wax and terracotta sculptures, ceramics, paintings, drawings, and works by other artists (Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh) from his personal collection.
